Henrik - I expected more. A global price on carbon...really. I think that's been tried and failed. Your previous post had more advanced ideas...what happened?

Hi Brad. It is still the same idea. If the price is high enough to keep all the fossil fuel in the ground, that would be a step in the right direction, would it not? My main concern is that we (i.e. humanity) is currently doing nothing to stop climate change. Since we are running out of time, we need to get the right people on board and get started. How about the following formulation: "the carbon fee will be ramped up in order to limit the remaining emissions to less than 400 Gt"? This would be equivalent to banning fossil fuel within less than 10 years. Given that we still depend to 85% on fossil fuel, you can't get more radical than that. Regards, Henrik
