We need carbon tax on all scope 3! This is for forestry as well as for agriculture. No offsetting without real GHG removals: Project must be additional, scientific verified with permanence and NDC excluded (otherwise double counted). No Biodiversity Credits for corporations with growth strategies. Corporations must be regulated and show their path to real zero.
No offsetting with reduction or mitigation projects - must be all enforced by regulations. You are right - no COP ever helped - as long Greenwashing is build into the system. Best regards and thank you for your readings. Gabriele Roselius
Dear Kevin. Thanks for your remarks. I will definitely get in touch. To answer your question, I have not published it yet for two reasons: 1) I have been very busy, and 2) I am a physicist and do not feel very comfortable publishing in economic journals. I am on the lookout for economists who might be interested in contributing.
It's exasperating, isn't it. The problem is that most people working on the project are not doing anything wrong. They are all working to the best of their abilities on something that seems meaningful. And yet, the sum of their actions is a massive failure.
You are a kind man Henrik. Unfortunately, I think that our individualistic culture... has disconnected most people from relationship and meaning and most do know that they are not doing the right things, and so don't challenge due to the risk of upsetting their status quo, or just can't be bothered because they are comfortable where they are. For now...

„Any sane person knows the answer“. Do you know any sane person?
I know a few, but they all avoid politics.
Dear Henrik,
I read your piece and totally agree. Have you published this work anywhere?
