Thank you so much for having me, Henrik. It was a real honour!
What an incredible talk, Rachel. But it was the last two minutes that reduced me to tears. The difficulty of uncertainty, our species allergy to 'not knowing' and being 'out of control' - I know those places so well in myself, as someone who's always been very driven - as a result of childhood trauma. My journey though severe illness and mental breakdown taught me how to tolerate my own vulnerability and inability to make things happen 'now'. Eventually, I learned to value the pause, the not knowing, the space of the liminal. And it's from that place, increasingly, that my art and poetry come. Pausing in the midst of difficulty, allowing things to be as they are, waiting for the insights that come from the deep self... that is the place where magic happens. Sending warmth and love and thanks to you. Mandy
